General Questions

We work by appointment but gladly accept walk-ins if our schedule allows. If you don’t have an appointment we do recommend calling ahead to check availability. If you are looking for larger work, we always start with an initial consultation prior to the date of the tattoo in order to fully establish design requirements, location, restrictions etc.

To book an appointment with us at Rise Tattoo, simply call or visit the shop so you can pay a deposit and check availability. Deposits can be paid in cash or by paypal… We like cash better though!

No. deposits are non-refundable. If you can’t make your appointment we require at least 48 hours notice by phone or in person, or you will forfeit the deposit. If you don’t show up for your appointment, you forfeit the deposit. If you cancel with more than 48 hours notice, we can roll the deposit over to a new appointment time. Please give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel.

Yes absolutely. We do cover-ups and touch-ups all the time. We would be happy to look at your existing tattoo and help put together a plan for what can be done to cover it up. Please remember though, that the darker and bolder the existing tattoo, the more difficult it is to “cover it up,” and that your new tattoo will always be bigger than the original one.

Alcohol thins the blood, which means you’ll bleed more while getting your tattoo, and it also makes it less likely that you’ll sit still. Let’s wait until you’re sober.

Yes. We take a lot of pride in having a clean and well-cared-for shop, and we’ll take every precaution with you and your tattoo. Be aware, though, that there is a risk of infection if you do not properly care for your tattoo.
